The trouble of fixing iphones

Iphones are not easy to fix. Well alot of the time anyway. Sometimes they can give you a tough problem, such as when you update to ios 7.0.4 and it says "searching" in the top left corner. What makes the problem even worse, is when it connects to itunes, only for itunes to respond with -"There is a problem with your iphone". Then you know its probably a hardware problem, in which case time to sell.
A tough iphone problem. Recently I took an iphone, and it was previously water damaged, but it sprang back to life and now it restored and updated to ios 7.0.4, but the problem is I think  baseband chip has either fried or been corrupted, since in the top left corner there is a sign "searching" which appears until the battery dies!
I have no idea how to fix this, as there are no shsh blobs on the iphone of previous ios versions such as 6.1.3. So I am instead going to sell this one. I will mention how much it sells for, once its sold.
It seems as though updating to ios 7.0.4 after water damage is a bad idea. But there is no way to go back. Atleast not yet.
